I like deadlines. I need deadlines. Without them, nothing gets done. At least by me.
So I’m grateful to the American Society of Bioethics & Medical Humanities for accepting my wanna-be book project, Taking Turns, into their early scholar mentorship program. I’m cramming to update my project for a deadline tomorrow. The mentors assigned to me will review what I have thusfar, and we’ll have an hour and a half to discuss it during the ASBH national meeting in mid-October in DC.
Once that deadline is met, there are always more… a paper revision for publication, a collaborative zine in the works, a patient education comic to be used in a study, and a collaborative book project. Lots of deadlines means that lots of work will be getting done in the Comic Nurse studios throughout the foreseeable future.
