I was just tooling down a neighborhood street in the dead of winter with my little dog and looked up… a cotton candy vendor! Four days before my birthday! SWEET! It’s lent, so I did not partake, but this did not lessen the thrill of the happening. Another blog entry will be devoted to why I still participate in the annual ritual of lent despite being agnostic.

Not sure how often it happens but I also saw a cotton candy vendor on Lawrence making a sale to a driver at a red light early this week.

My thought was, “desperate times call for desperate measures”. I hope I was wrong but you have to wonder how all the ice cream vendors get by in the winter.
