That’s me introducing Kaisa Leka’s graphic memoir I Am Not These Feet at the Comics & Medicine conference in June.
Not blogging here does not mean I’m not busy – quite the opposite. But as we nurses say, if it isn’t documented, it didn’t happen.
I’ve been periodically blogging and posting audio, links, info at the website for the Comics & Medicine conference and on the Thought Bubble site in preparation for Graphic Medicine day in Leeds in November.
Delivered a talk to the Chicago chapter of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care. It was a real treat to speak to and listen to reactions from an audience of nurses (and one doc) about my oral history of an inpatient AIDS unit.
Next up – back to the book, big time, for the rest of the summer. Lots of exciting things on the horizon. I’ll try to be a better blogger as they materialize.
