For the record, it was actually my brother’s bike. I didn’t tell him it had been stolen for ages because I felt so horrible about the whole incident. One day, about a year later, after never seeing the bike around my apartment, he said, “MaryKay, do you still have posession of my bike?” I admitted I didn’t. He was very cool about the whole thing.
There’s this song I can’t stop listening to by a band I’ve recently discovered called The Innocence Mission. It’s called “When Mac Was Swimming” from their album “Befriended.” The lead singer’s voice is incredibly charming, especially when she sings this poetry:

Dive clear into the day
