For the past year, I have been on a sabbatical from teaching to complete a dream project: a tribute to and appreciation of the amazing Lynda Barry.
Created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of both LDComics and Graphic Medicine, this new 80-page collection shares seven wacky stories about Lynda Barry’s influences on my art and teaching – with exercises to help us together influence yours. The book also includes fifteen additional creators sharing their stories of joyful influence – and invites you to share your story as well. It was originally available as a PDF version during the inaugural LDComics online comics fair. Sales were good!
