Chapter two of Ivan Brunetti’s Eisner-nominated comics textbook, Cartooning: Philosophy and Practice focuses on single panel comics. One homework exercise asks us to create three single panel comics. I approached the exercise in the spirit of the New Yorker comics I’ve loved for as long as I could read.
