The Lost Holiday Cartoon

I made a lot of cookies and I wrapped a lot of presents. I wrote far too many holiday cards, many of which were not reciprocated. (Not that I’m keeping track or anything…) I must have been feeling pretty down on the whole Christmas thing Thursday, because I created a cartoon that never saw the light of last week. I ran it by Cindy and she felt it was, in her words, “a bit harsh for you.” Ultimately I decided not to run it because there’s a Santa spoiler and I know I have a few devoted kid fans. I didn’t think it was right to subject them to my negativity.

Someday this will be referred to as the Comic Nurse lost holiday cartoon. For now, it’s just a blog entry. I’m hoping that by today, after the in-laws and meals and presents and post-Christmas sales, “Holiday Greeting Cards Better NOT Sent,” will have a more receptive audience. Look for the real Cartoon Of The Week this Wednesday – the perennial favorite “Year End Review.”
