Not much to report from yesterday except that, once settled in Toronto, the visiting has commenced! So great to see the gang starting to gather – at a pub, of course. Not much of a chance to look around, but it seems to be a city that has wonderfully combined the old and the new – with much more new on the way. Construction cranes pepper the skyline. Old buildings are a relative term of course, as Paul Gravett pointed out last night. But this is pretty cool.
Excited to see an old friend from college for brunch, then tonight the festivities begin with a screening of The Paper Mirror starring Riva Lehrer and Alison Bechdel.
