One of the great applications of graphic medicine (comics in healthcare) is as a tool to make research outcomes come alive. (You can read more from me on that topic here.)

This fall I had the honor of working with fellow nurses Brenna Morse and Ali Tayyeb on translating the results of Dr. Morse’s study,  “Leveraging Parent Pain Perspectives to Improve Pain Practices for Children with Medical Complexities.”

The three of us met via Zoom and discussed the study, its methods, and outcomes. Ali and I then each created two posters that would be distributed to care providers to share the outcomes of the study. Ali captures our process well on his blog post where you can also download all the posters.
