Last week’s class was cancelled as I was traveling to St. Paul, Minnesota to be the closing speaker at the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement Colloquium.
In the middle of my talk I had participants draw a self portrait in crayons. It was thrilling to me how seriously they took this task, and how they described it as beneficial and inspiring to, as fully grown adults, mostly 40+, use crayons again. Here is what a room full of grownup health care professionals (who want to make things better in health care) using crayons looks like:
